Why we started

Founder

I started The Promise Plan because I realized that while we curate every detail of our pets' lives—from their nutrition to their enrichment—most of us are missing a functional safety net for ourselves. Living with and fostering dogs taught me that "hope" is not a protocol, and my research confirmed a sobering reality: 68% of pet owners have no emergency care protocol in place.

The risk of this gap is immediate; studies show that without a pre-designated plan, pets are often displaced or surrendered to municipal shelters within 48 to 72 hours of an owner’s emergency.

Too often, we assume family or friends will simply "notice" something is wrong and figure things out. But while awareness is the first step, it isn't a solution. Recognizing a crisis is only half the battle; the other half is ensuring your circle has the instructions needed to maintain your pet’s care as you intended. I built this infrastructure to replace that uncertainty with a reliable, digital "Plan B"—so that no pet is left waiting, and no routine is broken.
