Why We Started
A Personal Story
I started The Promise Plan after realizing that while we curate every detail of our pets' lives, most of us are missing a functional safety net for ourselves. Living with and fostering dogs taught me that hope isn't a protocol—and the data confirmed it: 68% of pet owners have no emergency care plan in place.
The consequences are immediate. Without a pre-designated plan, pets are often surrendered to shelters within 48–72 hours of an owner's emergency.
We assume family or friends will notice something is wrong and figure it out. But recognizing a crisis is only half the battle—your circle also needs the instructions to maintain your pet's care exactly as you intended. I built The Promise Plan to replace that uncertainty with reliable care coordination, so no pet is left waiting and no routine is broken.
